Mammut Pro Team athlete Dani Arnold sets a new record at the North Face. Top mountaineer Dani Arnold from Uri sets a new milestone at the beginning of the season on the Matterhorn, climbing the North Face in 1 hour and 46 minutes, and outperforming Ueli Steck's previous record by 10 minutes.

Mammut Making Of Key Visual Matterhorn 2015

With 4,478 meters above sea-level, Matterhorn is one of the highest mountains of the Alps. It has always been a dream of mountaineers to climb this prominent peak. 2015 marks the 150th anniversary of the dramatic first ascent. On this occasion, Swiss mountain sports outfitters Mammut presents Zermatt with an unforgettable vision: by installing 60 light sources along Hörnligrat, they will illuminate the route up to Matterhorn peak for one evening. A 20-man group of professional athletes, mountain guides and experienced Mammut employees will provide a view of Matterhorn as never seen before!

USA – at Lake Tahoe (CA), between high firs and the High Black Forest you can find “Suger Loaf”, a granite cone about 100 meters height. “The grand illusion” is part of this huge mountain. Tony Yaniro was the first climber who mastered this ascent in 1979. The only 13-years old Mammut athlete Mirko Caballero climbed the V-shaped rock with a finger-width crack at its base successfully in spring 2014.

Episode 4: »The Face« 8a+ Germany – The Altmühltal is the location of the fourth episode. The climbing route called “The Face” became its name because of the similarity to a human face. Jeremy Moffatt from Sheffield joined the legendary climbing-group around Kurt Albert, Norbert Sandner, Norbert Bätz and Ingrid Reitenspieß in the 80s. As Jerry never got enough and always wanted more, he tried to conquer “The Face” and succeeded. Mammut Pro athlete Barbara Bacher tried her best to climb this route again but it was too cold in January. Barbara is now waiting for autmn to accomplish this mission.

Episode 3: »La Rose et le Vampire« 8b France - Le Bout du Monde is located in the climbing paradise of Buoux. In the 80’s this famous area was determined to write climbing history. A group of young climbers turned the massive rocks into their playground. Four time overall world cup winner in bouldering Anna Ströhr climbed this legendary route while receiving help and tips from first ascender Antoine le Menestrel. Antoine explains the name of the route: "The route is the vampire, and the rose is for the winner."

Wolfgang Güllich was the first climber who accomplished the “Action Directe” route in the Franconian woods in 1991. This route is truly a massive challenge for your fingers, ligaments and sinews. This route had been a whole new dimension of difficulty. However, Wolfgang Güllich and neither Mammut Pro athlete Jan Hojer did not hesitate to climb this hell of a route.
