ABOUT THE LAUSANNE SLOPESTYLE
The Lausanne Slopestyle is a unique event, aiming to recreate the conditions of a snowpark on a closed road for the pleasure of freeboarders, longboarders and skaters. It is now recognized as the biggest freeboard event worldwide. Organized by the LAU’ Riders, official association of freeboarders in Lausanne, the 5th edition of the Lausanne Slopestyle took place during an entire weekend gathering 300 riders from all around the world. Precious support of the city of Lausanne and international sponsors helped taking this event to the next level.
A SUMMER SNOWPARK
Initially, the Lausanne Slopestyle was designed by freeboarders for freeboarders. Goal was to reproduce a snowpark on asphalt and allow riders to launch snowboard-like tricks. Made of kickers, sliding bars, and freestyle boxes this 700m long summer snowpark has been set up jointly with talented skatepark engineers and with the support of “La Fièvre”, biggest indoor skatepark in Switzerland.
