Fernando ALONSO

Fernando Alonso is one of the most elite Formula 1 drivers on the Planet. Plain and simple. Breaking into the racing world as a youngster in the European Karting Championship, “El Nano” didn’t take long to rise through the racing ranks, making stops in the Euro-Open Movistar Nissan single-seater series and Formula 3000 before taking Formula 1 by storm on the Renault team.

Becoming the youngest ever pole sitter at Malaysia in 2003, he also grabbed victory in Hungary – lapping the legendary Michael Schumacher in his Ferrari en route to a phenomenal season. It wasn’t until 2005, however, that the Spanish racing hero became the youngest ever Formula 1 Champion – moving on to defend his coveted crown in 2006 to become the youngest double champion in the sport’s glorious history. Following a brush with McLaren, he returned to Renault in 2008 – only to seek greener pastures and a more competitive car to once again challenge for glory. He looked no further than Scuderia Ferrari, signing a deal in 2010 to race for the “Prancing Horse.”

Currently on a mission to not only contend for, but claim another Championship, Fernando’s coming year alongside Kimi Raikkonen on the world-famous Italian team should be nothing less than extraordinary. While he’s not racing, the friendly Spaniard acts as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF and is preparing to launch his own Cycling Team.
