I love kiteboarding, surfing and any sport that has water involved. The kiteboarding virus hit me when I was 11 years old and I thought it would only last a couple of years. But now I know it will never go away. It gives me such a great feeling of freedom and I’m really lucky that I can travel the world doing what I love to do.

I became freestyle world champion in 2009 and won the King of the Air in 2014. Competing is really in my blood and I love it but I’m also in the quest for the perfect wave, wind and place to ride that make me have the biggest smile on my face."

Extreme Kiteboarding in Pumping Conditions | Red Bull King of the Air 2016

► CLICK to watch the LIVE REPLAY of the event: Cape Town and its prolific summer South-Easter winds hosted the world’s most progressive kiteboarders in a head-to-head big air competition. During a two-week weather window, riders from 11 nations waited for the windiest day – and with iconic Table Mountain as backdrop – both wind and sea delivered some pumping conditions. The UK’s own Aaron Hadlow claimed the throne ahead of Hawaiian Jesse Richman (who won in 2013) and Kevin Langeree from the Netherlands (2014 winner). The clinically technical Hadlow pulled his trademark Kiteloop KGB to complete the win, his second in a row. _ Experience the world of Red Bull like you have never seen it before. With the best action sports clips on the web and original series, prepare for your "stoke factor" to be at an all time high.
