Hi, my name is Billy Morgan. My discipline issnowboarding. I was born on 2 May 1989 in Southampton, UK. My special talent is skateboarding, gymnastics, ping pong and motocross.
Billy Morgan first took up snowboarding at the age of 14 on a dry slope in his home city of Southampton, UK.
In the early days, his career could well have just have easily taken a different route, as he showed signs of becoming a promising acrobatic gymnast. But it was snowboarding that ultimately won out, and where Billy's future was to be laid out.
When he was 16, he did his first season in Morzine and, at that point, any former uncertainties about his choice of career were quashed. Billy went on to win his first competition, the British Big Air Championship in 2009 and claimed third place in the Sierra Nevada FIS World Cup in 2013 – a result that meant he was placed secnd on the World Ranking list at the end of the 2013 season. In 2014, he represented Great Britain at the Winter Olympics in Sochi – finishing 10th in the men's slopestyle final.
Billy is also one of the few snowboarders to have pulled off a triple rodeo. The trick was glorified on film in 2011 – the video has now been viewed well over a million times on YouTube.
He had also long been slated as one of the few riders capable of landing an 1800 quadruple cork, and in 2015 he became the first rider in the world to land the trick, earning a place in snowboarding history.
When he's not shredding powder, Billy enjoys skateboarding, table tennis, motocross, and still makes time for a bit of gymnastics every now and then.
