Hi, my name is Chiao-Hung Cheng. My discipline is BMX Street. I was born on 7 January 1994 in Taipei, Taiwan. My special talent is staying happy. My philosophy of life is to just keep on riding with friends. My favourite food is pizza, sushi and pineapple cakes.
Born in 1994 in Taipei, Chiao-Hung Cheng grew up watching his father ride BMX. At seven years old, his father’s friend gave Chiao his first BMX bike, and it was the most natural thing ever for him to take to the streets and parks, learning tricks, whips and flips. He developed a style that mixes street and park, and is now one of Taiwan’s best-known BMX athletes.
His early introduction to BMX has served him well – Chiao stood out in Asian competition events from early in his career, and performed outstandingly at the Asia Cup Extreme Sports Championship and CX Open Games. He has also slowly drawn attention from many riders. Despite his introvert personality, there’s no mistaking Chiao’s enthusiasm for his sport, and he has gained admiration from and built friendships with other riders from all over the world.
He has also been to the Woodward Training Camp in California and Pennsylvania, riding with other international BMX riders and improving his skills.
