It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we must announce that 2016 WWL China Grand Prix Bronze medalist Graham Dickinson has passed away in, yet another, tragic wingsuit accident.
Graham was traveling in China alone with a mission to scout and open new BASE-jumping exit points. Graham's friends reported him missing on Wednesday after he had not returned from the jump and local Search and Rescue -unit found his body, close to Tianmen Cave, Thursday morning.
Graham represented the most cutting edge in proximity wingsuit flying and his name became synonymous for dangerous and challenging wingsuit lines. Graham was well known, not only as one of the world’s most popular, talented and active BASE-jumpers, but also, as a serious risk taker who was willing to put everything in the line to pursuit his dreams.
Graham was a new face at WWL events and last year, we had pleasure to work with him in China and Brazil.
His death is a huge loss to WWL and the entire sport of wingsuit flying.
Graham will be missed - and loved - by many.
We want to express our deepest condolences to Graham’s family, loved ones and friends during these difficult times.
