Hi, my name is Kostya Andreev. My discipline is BMX. I was born on 1 January 1993 in Saint Petersburg. My philosophy of life is that you shouldn’t be ashamed to remember it. My favourite food is a good steak.
Kostya Andreev started riding in 2007 when, like many other many future pro riders, he borrowed a bike from a friend. The next year he received a Hoffman Condor as a gift from his parents and began to develop his skills in the skateparks of his home town. By 2011 he felt strong enough to compete in pro tournaments and immediately started grabbing top-three finishes. A career in BMX beckoned.
In 2013, Andreev finished on the podium in every Russian competition in which he participated – on the top step in many cases. He won Moscow's big summer BMX event, The Best City In The World, took first place in the Russian Championship in the Park discipline and second in Dirt.
In 2014, he finally got his passport and was able to assert himself on the international stage. 17th place at Simple Session was only the beginning. He hit the top 10 in several stages of the FISE World Series: 6th in Montpellier, 4th in Chengdu and 5th on the island of Langkawi.
Andreev continues to rise up the rankings in international competitions, competing on a level with the world's top riders, but isn't letting any time go to waste in Russia either. On home soil he has taken 2nd place in the Adrenalin Games, and banked 1st place in Dirt and 3rd place in Park at the Russian BMX Championship in 2014, as well as winning three ProBMX Awards: Best Video, Best Rider, and Best Park Rider of the Year.
