My slackline history has been very intense in the past three and half years. On my first experience slacklining, I got really challenged, so I questioned myself: How can’t I get across this line? I understood that it is only a matter of balance and concentration, simple like that! The will of getting the proper balance has motivated me a lot in the beginning, but the most special was that the slackline put me in direct contact with my deepest feelings. It showed me above all, that not only are my needs and personal requirements that make me reach my goals, I realize that learning to know ourselves is the most essential of all process. The more I know, stronger, fulfilled and happy I feel.
I was one of the pioneers in the practice of slackline in Santa Catarina with the great persons, such as: Vinícius Goulart, Pedro Bruciapaglia, Henrique Ferreira, Rodrigo Ferrari. I Designed and performed the first HighLines in the city of Florianópolis. I was the idealizer of an urban HIGHLINE in the city of Balneario Camboriu, as one of the highest and longest in the world so far. I’ve been in United States sending HIGHLINES on Yosemite National Park (CA) and Smith Rock (OR), Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Poland, Switzerland, Austria, Holland. In Brazil I've crossed highlines in the states of Santa Catarina – SC, Minas Gerais – MG, Rio Grande do Sul – RS e Rio de Janeiro – RJ, Paraná - PR mostly in good company of local slackliners.
Balance has been my guide word both in slackline as in my professional life. My intention is to continue pushing my limits objectively intend to develop even further my skills in Highline rigging. For this to happen, it is essential to travel the world to interact with the entire slackline community, that has been overcoming the limits of this sport.
I participated and helped produce a documentary about HIGHLINE and also took part in advertising projects involving slackline. This is another aspect that really motives me a lot, so I can express myself as a athlete and human being.
Lately Brazil is growing a lot in the slackline scene, the number of people practicing raises exponentially and the gear it’s becoming cheaper and cheaper. I really want to continue being part of this evolution and contribute as much as possible to build the slackline history, a practice that provides intense balance between body, mind and spirit.
