While his age should qualify him for the conversation on NASCAR’s Youth Movement, Joey Logano will be starting his ninth full-time season in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series when the green flag is displayed for the 59th annual Daytona 500 on February 26th. The Middletown, CT native will enter the 2017 season on the heels of his runner-up finish in the 2016 series championship and in a familiar place as one of the early season title favorites for the championship.

Having won more races over the 2014 and 2015 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series seasons than any other driver (11), the 2016 season featured more success for the 26-year-old Connecticut native. Logano claimed had a million reasons to celebrate following the 2016 NASCAR All-Star Race as he led a Team Penske one-two finish in the non-points event, marking the first time a team had accomplished a top-two seep.

The No. 22 Team Penske crew led by crew chief Todd Gordon continued the momentum of the All-Star victory into the summer months, finishing in the top-10 in 12 of the 14 races leading up to the chase. Logano secured a chase birth with a victory in the FireKeepers 400 at Michigan International Speedway in June.
