Hi, my name is Kolohe Andino. My discipline is surfing competition. My friends call me Brother. I was born on 22 March 1994 in California, USA. My special talent is backgammon. My favourite food is sushi. My favourite music is old rock.

Kolohe Andino comes from good stock. His father is former ASP WCT surfer, Dino Andino. Given his strong pedigree and where he grew up – San Clemente, not only a hotbed for up and coming surfing talent, but an industry hub –  it's no wonder the multiple NSSA champion turned WCT-er is one of the most followed and photographed surfers on the planet.

It's hard to believe the multiple USA National Champion and the youngest person ever to win the men's open title at a NSSA regional event is the age that he is when you look at the amount of silverware he's racked up.

In 2011, he won the ASP 6-star Quiksilver Brazil Open of Surfing, and backed it up with another top podium finish at the Vans Pier Classic. Kolohe secured third place at the ASP Quiksilver Saquarema Prime in 2012 and entered the 2013 ASP World Championship Tour campaign on the heels of a strong performance.

His skills on the water opened many pundits' eyes and affirmed that he has the bottle, and the skill, to handle himself in waves of consequence – a necessary attribute of any world title contender.

Never mind the comps, mags or trophies. For Kolohe, it’s simple. “I surf because I love it,” he explains. "I love the feeling after I surf."
