Hi, my name is Sébastien Ogier. My discipline is Rally – WRC. My friends call me Seb. I was born on 17 December 1983 in Gap, France. My special talent is driving fast. My philosophy of life is always look forward. The most important person in my life is my wife. My favourite food is Argentinian beef. My favourite music is pop.

Sébastien Ogier had his first major international success in 2008 when he won the Junior World Rally Championship title with three victories. He also has the rare distinction of being a JWRC driver who's scored points in the overall top-10 points-scoring classification on a WRC event.

In 2009, Sébastien competed in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge, winning the Monte Carlo Rally in a Peugeot 207 S2000. In the same year he joined the new Citroën Junior Team and finished eighth in the WRC. In 2010 Sébastien joined Citroën’s full works World Rally Team and achieved six podium results, including his first two victories.

But it was in 2011 that he came to the fore thanks to an intense battle for the title with Sébastien Loeb, eventually settling for third overall. Later in the year he defeated WRC and F1 opposition to win the famed Race of Champions event. For 2012’s World Rally Championship he joined VW Motorsport and drove a Škoda Fabia S2000, achieving six top-10 points-scoring results and often threatening to upset many runners in faster WRC machines.

Together with co-driver Julien Ingrassia, Sébastien helped VW to develop their stunning new Polo R WRC, and drove the car to its first victory at Rally Sweden in 2013. He capped off his inaugural season with Volkswagen with a much-celebrated World Championship title on the first day of his home Rallye de France and he wrapped up the year with a win at the Wales Rally GB.

Ogier repeated his world champion feat in 2014, the fifth driver to win back-to-back titles in the championship, and again in 2015, before going to write his name in the rally history books win a fourth consecutive World Rally Championship title in 2016, an incredible feat that only fellow rally legends Sébastien Loeb and Tommi Mäkinen have matched.

Neymar Jr. has decided to temporally put his fancy football career on hold to make an unexpected career change: become a rally driver for a day. The Brazilian football player spent the morning in a Volkswagen Polo R WRC with today’s best rally driver and two-time world champion of the World Rally Car Sébastien Ogier. They drove the car along some roads in Catalonia, at the very heart of Monsterrat Mountain. This experience has helped the footballer to understand what it takes to be a good co-driver.
