Hi, my name is Yuki Kadono. My discipline issnowboard slopestyle. I was born on 18 May 1996 in Miki, Hyōgo, Japan. My favourite food is fried chicken. My favourite music is Momoiro Clover Z.

Yuki Kadono started snowboarding at the age of eight, under the guidance of his father. But he lived in an area with no snow, so to improve his skills he spent most weekends at ski resorts during the season, and trained at KINGS, a jump practice facility in Japan, and at indoor ski resorts during the off-season.

Early in his career, Yuki trained in slopestyle, but due to age restrictions, he had limited opportunities to take part in major competitions. Not one to sit on the sidelines, he focused on taking part in SAJ and JSBA halfpipe competitions, before taking part in the FIS World Tour. At the age of 14, he beat the previous year’s X Games champion to take second place at the 4Star RIDE Shakedown.

Yuki is also a bit of history maker. In the 2012/13 season, he became the youngest-ever snowboarder to be invited to Air + Style, and participated in both Innsbruck and Beijing events, in Austria and China respectively. He also became the first snowboarder from Asia to win Air + Style in Beijing and now plans to take part in more international contests, aiming to become the first Japanese rider to win the title of world’s number one slopestyle snowboarder. And after a stellar few seasons, including wins at Air + Style LA and the Burton US Open, he's well on his way to achieving that aim.

Mark McMorris and Seb Toots Shred Custom Built Terrain Park | Uncorked

Technical features over technical tricks is the mandate for McMorris and Toutant’s new project, 'Uncorked'. Mark McMorris and Sebastien Toutant are two of the best in the business of slopestyle snowboarding. They can go bigger and flip faster than us mere mortals will ever be able to, and they each have a bag o' tricks that go deep enough to keep them at the top of podiums around the world. ...But snowboarding's not always about the gnarliest tricks and mega kickers, and the boys aren't keen on progressing the sport to just become that. 'Uncorked' is their take on growing snowboarding through creative features, high speed shredding, and stomping classic tricks with the style and ease of a winter Sensei. So sit back and enjoy 'Uncorked', and let it be a reminder to us all how much snowboarding fu**ing rules.
